A significant step was taken to remove 3 trees between the mill and the river that were jeopardizing the foundation and the structure itself due to their size and close proximity to the mill.

It was no easy feat but expertly handled by J & R Tree Service.  East Mill Road was closed for approximately 4 hours between Mountain Ave and the traffic light in the center of the town so the crew could set up and operate the crane and remove the trees from behind the mill.

Quickly and efficiently the team cut the trees in sections, hoisted them over the Mill and lowered them into the street where the business of chipping and hauling of the sections of logs took place. Four hours later the traffic resumed and from the street side it looked like nothing had taken place.

Thanks J & R Tree Service!
